Supply Chain Intern - Summer Program

Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform Oracle Procurement, Order Management and Inventory Management activities in support of the Supply Chain department.
    • Creating Purchase orders, receive and pay invoices
    • Understand the reporting and general ledger impacts of the correct coding
    • Create and drop sales orders to 3rd Party warehouse and understand the order flow and management of a 3-party warehouse
  • Understand the value and benefit of Supply Chain EDI documents, process, and maintenance.
  • Participate and understand the project management required to implement Oracle Master Production Scheduling.
  • In partnership with the Demand Planning team, use merchandising event post-audit data to analyze the effectiveness of in-store activities. Use the resulting insight to forecast the impact of future events.
  • Supply Chain Budget Management
    • Monthly Actuals,
    • Monthly Accruals,
    • Monthly Guidance
    • Reconciliation and month end close activities
  • Work with groups within the Supply Chain to map and document processes and identify areas of improvement and pain points that can be automated or streamlined.
  • Analysis:
    • Compare rates, by zone, and service type of different transportation carriers and make recommendations on best option for the company.
    • Forecast accuracy and identify root cause
    • Warehouse capacity planning
  • Perform other duties/projects as needed.

 

Requirements

  • Ability to work on projects independently and in team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task; fast learner.
  • Supply Chain, Business r related major.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong project management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
