Senior Network Engineer (Candidate can sit in either Pasadena, CA OR Cincinnati, OH)
We are looking for a self-starter, highly motivated individual to join our network engineering team to assist in design decisions, installing, maintaining, and supporting the Green Dot network infrastructure.
Responsible for assisting with design decisions, installing, maintaining and supporting LAN, and WAN infrastructures.
Provide high-level technical support for voice and data network systems.
Creates and maintains network documentation, maintains hardware and software standards.
Works projects as needed in order to meet business needs.
Must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, and network management systems.
Strong communicator with good interpersonal skills who is highly technical and a motivated self-starter.
Excellent team player.
Valid CCIE, CCNP, or CCDP Certification, or equivalent experience.
Must have solid experience working in a highly available, robust network infrastructure.
Extensive routing and switching experience with Cisco IOS.
Strong proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2 & Layer 3 topologies, including (but not limited to) Spanning-Tree, and Dynamic Routing.
Advanced experience with EIGRP and BGP.
Solid understanding of QoS, VSS, VMPS, PBR, PVLAN, and other IOS features.
Strong wireless deployment and troubleshooting skills.
Strong knowledge of the OSI layers.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Previous experience in highly available production environment.
Some travel involved.
Will be part of on-call rotation.

CCIE or equivalent experience.
Experience in working with Cisco ASA Firewalls (8.x or later), VPN, PKI, and AAA.
Experience in working with QoS and voice.
Experience in working with 802.1x, Cisco ACS, PKI, EAP.
Experience in working with NTP, SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, HSRP.
Experience working with NX-OS a HUGE plus.
Experience with Cisco Wireless Networking.
Working knowledge of Solarwinds Orion.
